English Dub Review: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War “Shadows Gone”
Overview:
Lille undergoes further transformation to hunt down and pass judgment on Kyoraku.
Our Take:
Normally I would say it’s a little late in the game to be putting out a lot of character development. But this whole time I was thinking that Kyoraku was a silly guy but after he had to take over leadership of the court guard squads it’s like he’s a new man. Then we get to see that he might have had that kind of heart in him the whole time. His brother was married to Naonao’s mother and I can’t remember that ever being touched on before. But Nanao’s mother left him with a family keepsake and he decided it was time for Naonao to have it. I love getting to see characters grow and while I wish we got to see the main characters growth a little more I can definitely find enjoyment in this.
The one thing I don’t like about this arc is that I liked the Quincies before this. I understand where their anger comes from and I’d want revenge too. But I thought Uryu would be able to smooth things over but it looks like he’s a true blue traitor if there ever was one. I’m sure he might get turned back before it’s all over but still. The Soul Reapers aren’t all rainbows and sunshine either but I find myself rooting for them because we’ve spent so much time with them. Even the characters I don’t like such as Mayuri, I’m learning things that make me enjoy them.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
