Review: The Simpsons “The Man Who Flew Too Much”
Overview
The new and improved Pin Pals travel to Capital City for their first ever state bowling championship.
Our Take
For my money, the OG Pin Pals consisting of Homer, Apu, Lenny, Carl, Barney, , and Moe are the proper Pin Pals so this funny business with Ned and whomever this Fausto guy is can take a hike. That said, Al Jean checks in before the end of the year with Homer having to lead a rescue mission after his team’s chartered flight to Capital City crashes into a mountain. As the recent two-part episode of The Simpsons saw Ned challenge the church, only a few days later we get an episode featuring all sorts of biblical speak helping ensure the survival of all aboard the chopper.
Those enjoying the trip down memory lane with the Pin Pals will be delighted to see a new Bart prank call. Also, anybody thinking that the bowling jokes would not be there given that we never get to the state bowling championship, take heart, because this episode has quite a few site gags that should keep you satiated.
Overall, the third episode of The Simpsons in a seven day period was a pretty funny trip. I wasn’t crazy about this new Fausto guy and the guest appearance by Glenn Close was a “blink and you’ll miss it” event, but the climax really brought the show home and did so in yet another Christmas fashion.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
