English Dub Review: Oshi No Ko “Wish”

Overview:

A gruesome discovery finally gives Aqua the closure he needs to begin a new chapter in his life. But as he steps into a brighter tomorrow, Ruby’s descent into darkness begins.

Our Take:

I find it interesting how Aqua and Ruby have flipped currently. Aqua has accepted that the person he wanted revenge on is no longer around meanwhile, Ruby’s sole focus has become revenge. But what was interesting was when Ruby was making her wish she phrased it as “I hope Aqua gets revenge on Mommy and Doctor’s killer soon” which leads me to believe that Aqua and Ruby haven’t had a conversation recently since Aqua is looking to live a more peaceful life now.

Aqua has decided to date Akane for real in pursuit of that peace, at least it seems that way.  Things could change sometime soon but someone who wasn’t expecting to get news like that was Kana. Our poor, sweet, little Kana said something off-hand to Akane about her “fake” relationship when Akane told her that Aqua and she are a real couple. You could see her heartbreak in real-time, these last couple of episodes have been unfortunate. This was the last episode of the season and with the cliffhanger we got I’m glad season three has already been announced.
