English Dub Review: Nina the Starry Bride “Mouth of Money, Heart of Gall”

Overview:

Nina meets the King of Galgada and is surprised to learn she is a woman. Later, when the tournament turns dangerous, Nina abandons her plans to remain calm and collected.

Our Take:

While this show hasn’t surprised me much when it comes to certain tropes there was one thing I wasn’t expecting to happen. I didn’t expect the King of Galgada to be a woman, you would think that she would be referred to as a Queen but nope she is called King. I kind of like that and when we learned her story it made sense. Her brother was the former King and when he died all his sons were still very young so she took over until one of them would be ready to take over.

I don’t think she expected this tournament to go the way it has though. It seems like each Prince was able to elect a combatant for the tournament and one of the Prince “accidentally” got a former murderer. Nina being as stupidly brave as she is steps into the arena to try and stop this individual. Azure steps in to help her but Sett had previously told him that if he touched Nina again he would kill him. Let’s hope these two can solve this amicably.
