English Dub Review: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War “The Holy Newborn”

Overview:

The Soul Reapers regroup to prepare their counterattack against the Quincies.

Our Take:

We can add Grimmjow the Arrancar and Riruka the Fullbringer to the group helping Ichigo out. Like I said last time I love it when we see former enemies come together to fight a big bad. When it comes to Grimmjow he wants to be the one to kill Ichigo so he can’t go letting someone else do it. How very Vegeta of him am I right? But things have not been going according to plan and even Ichigo was left in the dark about Grimmjow and Riruka, Yoruichi didn’t tell him about any of it.

Yhwach now has way more eyes than anyone could need. He looks downright creepy and in some ways, lame. I don’t know what all the eyes are supposed to do for him but even some of his underlings think it’s off-putting. Everyone is headed towards the new palace Yhwach has built and I hope an ass-kicking of the ages is about to happen because it’s starting to get a little slow for me. I also want to see more of Ichigo, we need more of the main character!
