Report: FOX & Hulu Continue Partnership Pact With Deal Re-Up ; AniDom Deals Seem Likely

FOX released it’s midseason 2024/2025 schedule the other day but did so with no mentions of Animation Domination return debuts which means after this week we don’t know when the likes of their entire lineup is going to return with new episodes on the network anywhere between the holidays and the Super Bowl. In the meantime, we are getting a positive report from FOX that they have re-upped their partnership with Disney for $1.5 Billion which will include continued syndication of Animation Domination content to Disney’s Hulu for the foreseeable future.

The Deadline report also seems to indicate that this deal likely implies that new seasons of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy should continue to debut on FOX (save for the digital-exclusive specials that Hulu/Disney+ has been doing lately) even after their renewals which will all come to pass next year. What is NOT known is whether or not The Great North, which is the only 20th Television Animation-produced series airing on FOX that isn’t mentioned in the article, and whether that is going to be the odd series out which may be an announcement later when the show is supposed to return with new episodes early next year.

The other good news for this report is the amount of money Hulu and FOX are willing to spend for the marketing, programming, etc., due to the fact that the amount of revenue being generated here could potentially see FOX continue to be hunters for original primetime animation in the coming years.

Until then, Animation Domination returns with new episodes this Sunday Night on FOX starting at 8 pm ET/PT with an all-new episode of The Simpsons that has already been making news this week.
