English Dub Review: Oshi No Ko “Liberation”

Overview:

Taiki discovers a surprising connection but reveals something Aqua wasn’t expecting. Meanwhile, Ruby hopes one person notices B Komachi’s growing fame.

Our Take:

See this is what happens when your whole life is based around revenge. What happens if the person you were trying to get revenge on is already dead? Don’t get me wrong I don’t think that will end up being the case but as of now, that’s the info Aqua has to go on. The object of his revenge according to Taiki committed a lover’s suicide with his mother years ago. Aqua needs to find something new to live for soon, maybe it could be Kana or Akane?

I almost feel bad for Ruby because I think she’s about to learn that the doctor she admired so much in her past life is dead. But as we, the viewers, know, Aqua is that doctor, but neither of them knows who the other is as of yet. From what I hear the manga has a controversial ending but I stand by this being one of the better anime to come out in recent years. The plot twists and drama are hard to pull away from and I love the insights we get into all the different forms of showbiz.
