English Dub Cast And World Premiere Announced For Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl

Aniplex of America is premiering the English dubbed adaptation of Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl on December 8th as part of the Anime Frontier convention.

The film adapts the series’ sixth and seventh volumes and is a sequel to the anime television series Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. The sequel film features a returning staff, including director Sōichi Masui, scriptwriter Masahiro Yokotani, character designer Satomi Tamura, and musical composer Fox Capture Plan. CloverWorks, which produced the 2018 television series, returns as the production studio

The English dub version of the Rascal Does Not Dream series is produced by Aniplex of America in association with Bang Zoom! Studios and the cast is as follows with the synopsis:

Stephen Fu and Erica Mendez as Sakuta Azusagawa and Mai Sakurajima, along with Kayli Mills (Kaede Azusagawa), Lizzie Freeman (Tomoe Koga), Jenny Yokobori (Rio Futaba), Cristina Vee (Nodoka Toyohama), and Risa Mei (Shoko Makinohara). Michelle Ruff served as English ADR Director for the film with English ADR adaptation by Kayli Mills.

Synopsis:

Rascal Does Not Dream of A Dreaming Girl: In Fujisawa, where the skies are bright and the seas glisten, Sakuta Azusagawa is in his second year of high school. His blissful days with his girlfriend and upperclassman, Mai Sakurajima, are interrupted with the appearance of his first love, Shoko Makinohara. For reasons unknown, he encounters two Shokos: one in middle school and another who has become an adult. As Sakuta finds himself helplessly living with Shoko, the adult Shoko leads him around by the nose, causing a huge rift in his relationship with Mai. In the midst of all of this, he discovers that the middle school Shoko is suffering from a grave illness and Sakuta’s scar begins to mysteriously throb
