English Dub Review: The Elusive Samurai “Hang in there, Tokiyuki, Until the Day You Retake Kamakura”
Overview
Hoshina and his army decide to retreat from Kawanakajima after hearing what Toki/Tokiyuki and Saemontaro Shinomiya, a Suwa Sect warrior, had to say.
But Kiyohara is evil and crafty – he won’t let this slide without a fight.
Our Take
The season finale ended things with a series of decent action scenes that felt very Kojiro-focused. As Toki’s “Elusive Warriors” faced off with the formidable Provincial forces, showcasing Kojiro’s resilience and leadership.
Throughout the episode, Kojiro stood out as a steadfast ally, showing strength in the face of challenges, and this episode showcased his dedication. And despite the show’s stylistic use of CGI in some scenes, the characters’ vivid designs and expressions made for an engaging visual experience, underscoring the impact of both Toki and Kojiro’s shared journey.
Overall, The Elusive Samurai delivered an impactful season finale that balanced humor, action, and growth a blend of intense battles, strategic retreats, and meaningful relationships. The closing scenes offered a sense of resolution while hinting at future challenges, setting things up for what may lie ahead. And while the post-credits image remained cryptic, it remains to be seen if Season 2 will ever be announced, but I hope to see more in the future.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
