Our Take

Continuing the “Route C” storyline from the games, the narrative doesn’t make you forget the strong contrast between the two central characters. A2 is showing emotional growth, becoming more compassionate and patient as they interact with others meaningfully, and offering moments of humor and warmth. Their character development reflects a shift from a once hardened personality to someone more empathetic and considerate.

On the other hand, 9S as a character is experiencing a deep emotional struggle, becoming increasingly consumed by anger and despair. This inner conflict drives them to make harsh decisions, losing touch with the humanity they once had…

Overall, this episode skillfully explored the diverging paths of these two characters. In combination with the balance of lighthearted and heavier moments provides a compelling look at their emotional journeys, leaving me eager to see how these themes will continue to unfold. Yet it also found a way to do something random and comedic, especially the post-credits comedy bit with the Medic twins at the end.
