English Dub Review: Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian “A Storm Arrives”
Overview
Ayano confronts Masachika about his intentions to run against Yuki in the upcoming election. The student council throws a welcome party for their two new members where Masachika and Masha discuss their more hidden natures.
Our Take
This episode delves into Ayano’s character, shedding light on her unique background and adding depth to her personality. Masha also shines as the caring older sister, while Alya faces new challenges from a determined rival. The episode also hints at Kuze’s hidden potential with genius-level solutions which may have a payoff later on.
The dynamic between Yuki and Kuze takes center stage, with their interactions offering both humor and subtle insights into their shared past. The student council race introduces new tensions, setting the stage for exciting developments and deepening the story’s intrigue.
Overall, this episode effectively balances light-hearted moments with deeper character exploration, while also teasing the mysterious history between Kuze and Yuki, along with answering the biggest question of why won’t the two just outright say they’re siblings publically. It’s the only contrived aspect that irked me the most, yet the blend of humor, character growth, and plot development thankfully compensated despite the massive tonal shift at the end. but I look forward to seeing where this goes next!

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
