English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring “Another World and Twins”;“Nice to Meet You, Joule”

Overview:

Takumi Kayano died due to a mistake made by a god. As an apology, the god sends him to another world and revives him. As Takumi makes his way through this new world, he finds two small children in the forest.

Takumi has gradually gotten used to his new life and the new world. However, there is one thing he is not happy about at all: the limited selection of bread.

Our Take:

I know that “simuldubs” are rarer since quarantine but it seems like we’re slowly getting back there with certain shows. I’m guessing this is now a simuldub since it only had two episodes and they’ve both been dubbed now I doubt they would premier a show and not have an episode next week.

Now look, I love isekai as much as the next guy and this looks like a fun and cute show. Not many people’s first thought when finding children in a forest of another world would be “I guess I’ll adopt them” but hey it’s working out so far. The mystery of exactly who the kids are is going to be a driving force of the series moving forward I think. At least that’s what’s interesting to me right now.

I’m also interested in the “contracted beasts” Takumi seems to be acquiring. Right now he has a wolf, a white tiger, and a bird of some kind. I love animals and isekai so this seems like a match made in heaven. Takumi is your typical overpowered protagonist but that isn’t the focus so far, it’s mostly the kids and I think that will make this one just unique enough to be enjoyable.
