English Dub Review Laid Back Camp “I’m Home”
Overview
It’s the last day of the Izu trip. The group visited the Iidas, who had helped them on their Izu trip and said hi to the hot spring capybaras.
Our Take
And so the Izu Islands camping trip comes to an end, with our girls safely returning home after enjoying memorable moments together. They had the chance to see the capybaras and visit the couple from the sake shop. Nadeshiko’s concern for Rin’s longer journey home, given her moped’s restrictions on using the highway, led her sister Sakura to drive her to meet Rin closer to home.
The final moments between Nadeshiko and Rin are easily the highlight as well and a bit of a role reversal of care between the two. It echoes Rin’s previous worries for Nadeshiko, Aoi, and Chiaki during their camping trip to Lake Yamanaka. Nadeshiko’s reflection on the bittersweet feeling of ending a trip, but thankfully it doesn’t have to be the end of their friendship…
Overall, this finale delivers on the series’ wholesome charm. The consistent dynamic among the characters and their genuine care for one another shine through. While it’s hard to say if this season surpasses the first, it still offers a satisfying experience. Coupled with the beautifully drawn scenery of Japan and the characters’ comedic moments, the show maintains its uplifting atmosphere. And with the recent announcement of Season 3 getting a dub, who knows what adventures await them next!
