English Dub Review: Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki “The patterns carved into the stone tablet are connected to the mysteries of the world”
Overview
As rehearsals begin and Kikuchi polishes her script, she reveals her philosophy to a concerned Tomozaki. Mimimi and Tomozaki work on their comedy.
Our Take
The rigorous preparations for the upcoming play kicked off in full swing. With Hinami embodying the character of Alicia flawlessly, it’s evident that her dedication to acting shines through effortlessly. Kikuchi, observing Hinami’s portrayal, couldn’t help but reflect on her own identity, recognizing a desire for personal change through performance. Meanwhile, Tomozaki found solace in his time spent with Nanami during their comedy duo meeting, blurring the boundaries between friendship and something more.
Hinami’s exceptional performance isn’t surprising given her immersion in the world of acting. Despite initial concerns, the dynamic between Nanami and Tomozaki remains comfortable, affirming their bond as friends. However, Hinami’s influence on Kikuchi raises some apprehension, hinting at a deeper connection between the two characters. As their stories unfold, it becomes apparent that Hinami and Kikuchi share a unique perspective on life, sparking intrigue into their common desires for self-improvement.
Overall, a passable episode that makes strides in addressing various subplots, including Fumiya and Mimimi’s evolving relationship, Aoi’s mysterious past, and Fuka’s altered perceptions of reality. However, the time constraints within a single episode may pose challenges in delivering a fully satisfying resolution to each subplot. At the very least, I do hope for a major pay off in the finale.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
