Vice Network To Air “Nine Lives Of…South Park” Tonight
Vice has had an interesting last year haven’t they? Between filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year, last week closing all digital news operations, and with cable television not necessarily being a growth industry nowadays one has to think how long does a channel like Vice Network survive? The irony is the network has a series entitled Nine Lives Of… where an episode all about Vice should perhaps be in the cards down the road.
Until then, the series celebrates it’s season one finale with an episode that follows Comedy Central’s longest-running animated series in primetime. We’re 10 days away from a brand-new game so this should be a good primer for anyone who hasn’t seen the series.
In this episode, from crude animation to a near $1 billion deal, “South Park” crosses the line to stay relevant in the era of cancel culture.
Synopsis:
Famous icons overcome crises – being canceled, screwing up, falling – and rebuild careers. Their untold struggles and rises captured; stories of surviving and thriving regardless of public perception.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
