English Dub Review: Classroom of the Elite “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls”

Overview:

With the approaching class vote, a disturbing atmosphere hangs over Class C, filling them with suspicion. Second-year Class A’s Asahina informs Ayanokoji that Ichinose has asked for cooperation from student council president Nagumo.

Our Take:

Sometimes a character with no faults can be boring, but sometimes it’s just fun when a character is far superior to everyone else in the room. I like how Ayanokoji stays unassuming when it comes to his other classmates. At least that’s what I thought but it seems he’s starting to catch the attention of some because he has become the target for expulsion (if that does end up being the punishment, I’m still unconvinced).

Well, I should elaborate because it was Sakayanagi who put one of his classmates up to it which I thought was messed up. After all, she just got done saying she was going to wait till after the exam to continue her competition with Ayanokoji. Not only that but Ichinose is trying to make sure no one gets expelled and needs 20,000,000 points to ensure that doesn’t happen. Nagumo agreed to make up the difference but on the condition that she dates him, I’m intrigued to see that plot thread get resolved but it seems that will have to wait.
