English Dub Review: Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki “If you keep upgrading your initial equipment, it’ll usually become your most powerful weapon”
Overview
Simmering classroom unrest over Erika and Tama reaches a boiling point as Aoi steps in, revealing a side of herself that Tomozaki didn’t want to see…
Our Take
After 5 episodes, we’ve finally reached one hell of a conclusion of Erika’s bullying towards Tama, and holy shit! Aoi’s indirect machinations are Shakespearean levels of terrifying. Erika may have deserved most of it, but still, it was pretty scary how Aoi orchestrated the whole ordeal and even went beyond what a normal individual can do…
Despite the satisfaction of seeing the bullying arc come to a close, there’s a lingering sense of unease and sympathy for Erika. There’s more to her actions than meets the eye, hinting at deeper underlying issues that may have fueled her behavior. The resolution of the conflict leaves room for further exploration of Erika’s character and the potential for growth and reconciliation, especially with the support of her peers.
Overall, this was a satisfying ending for this arc that delivered on multiple fronts, from its well-paced drama to its suspenseful moments. Aoi’s swift and effective intervention, while unsettling, she accomplished in 1 day what they were trying to do for weeks! And while there was a subtle sense of karma, part of me wondered “Where the fuck were the Teachers”? As for the episode’s ending, it did leave things on a heartwarming note with the group picture, offering a glimmer of hope and closure for the characters involved.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
