Review: Aqua Teen Hunger Force “Scrip2 2i2le: The Ts Are 2s”

Overview:

Shake tries to write a screenplay, but he has appliances do the work for him.

Our Take:

Shake gets nowhere writing a screenplay, so he has a talking coffee machine write it instead. That screenplay ends up being terrible and more talking appliances keep showing up. They record everything everyone says and does and turn it into a movie. Frylock tries to dispose of the appliances, but that just leads to them attempting a complete takeover.

This is a funny episode if you can appreciate movie and celebrity references. All of the appliances talk like actors like Sean Connery and Al Pacino or movie characters like Rambo. This means they do tend to speak in quotes, but they’re all pretty famous lines. I think it’s funny that leader of the robot appliances has a body that’s in the shape of Christopher Walken’s head.

The plot is a pretty standard robots trying to take over the world story. It’s kind of a new take on it though and it offers some good laughs. It feels a little safe for Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but it’s still a solid episode overall.
