English Dub Review: The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent “Frontier”
Overview
Sei goes to the farthest end of the kingdom, the Hawke Region, for what the royal palace believes to be her final expedition as the Holy Saint…
Our Take
This time around we get a bit of a recap session that shows Sei’s determination to lead a simple life while aiding those close to her. The introduction to the Hawk Domain is provided, yet the wolf attack on the settlement underscores the severity of the situation. Even in areas accustomed to monster attacks, Sei garners a substantial fan following among the knights and common people.
In combination with this, there’s the unsettling presence of undead creatures in combination with a Zombie Dragon that gives actual tension for the unfolding events, with the looming presence of a significant challenge. But at the very least, this trip to clean up the swamp and kill the monsters allows Sei the chance for Sei to deepen her connection with Albert, contributing to the development of their relationship.
Overall, this episode gave Sei her most significant challenge to date. The anticipation adds excitement to the unfolding narrative. And it feels like shit may potentially get real as undead creatures enter the narrative which promises a compelling and challenging arc for Sei. However, this episode also establishes that throughout history, Multiple saints have removed all the monster-infested swamps, but every few hundred years they reappear. So now the real questions should be, why do they exist? And who keeps making them? Hopefully, we’ll find out in later storylines…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
