English Dub Review: Goblin Slayer “The Elven King’s Forest”

Overview:

Having successfully navigated the goblin-infested cliffs along the river, Goblin Slayer and the others make camp and are come upon by a helmeted elf who turns out to be the High Elf Archer’s cousin.

Our Take:

For being someone who is so intelligent when it comes to being an adventurer and hunter of goblins, Goblin Slayer can sure be dumb. What was essentially a stegosaurus showed up and that boy asks if it’s an elephant. Granted given the description of an elephant he was given I can kind of understand why he might think that but still come on man.

I was surprised we got the beach episode in this series and I was even more surprised it was by a river after a goblin attack. But hey I guess if you’re attacked going downstream you might want to be in some clothes that are better when they get wet.

I know that for a show that’s called Goblin Slayer I shouldn’t be surprised when the series is predominantly about goblins but I was kind of looking forward to a little arc where we just got to chill and see a wedding. I’m not sure if goblins are the reason that a stegosaurus is attacking the elf village but I wouldn’t be surprised. When we do get to the wedding I wonder if Goblin Slayer is going to keep his helmet on because I would really like to see his face.
