South Park: Snow Day! GamePlay Trailer Released ; Studios Gets A Win In Streaming Wars

According to THR, the State of NY has trimmed some of the charges against Paramount by way of Warner Bros. Discovery. Judge Margaret Chan has ruled against some of WBD’s claims against Paramount that there was any maliciousness to the fact that Paramount gets exclusive South Park movies while MAX gets new episodes of the series that premiere on Comedy Central along with the rest of the series’ library. MAX also feels slighted to the fact that they were under the impression that they would receive 10 new episodes of South Park per season ever since the $500 million deal was signed between South Park Studios and WBD back in 2019, so far, the streamer has received 16 episodes with claims that there were no promises on the number of episodes to be delivered each season.

Still to come, WBD charges including breach of contract, tortuous interference with contract and unjust enrichment. Moreover, WBD hasn’t bothered to pay any of the licensing fees for the episodes that they HAVE received thus far.

More as it develops.
