English Dub Review: Management of a Novice Alchemist “A Business Rival Appeared!”

Overview:

It’s normal to have a competitor; it’s just business. But when Sarasa learns her new rival is scheming with bandits? Things just got personal.

Our Take:

Since I started watching this series, this was probably the closest we’ve got to a normal “anime” episode. Sarasa was jealous of the other girl’s chests as usual, a lot of weird things were said, and we got some typical battling. But I don’t think this is going to lead to a big arc about shady businessmen but it would be kind of cool because I kind of liked the economics with battle stuff.

I’m not sure why Sarasa came up with another identity while going on an adventure but she had a pretty cool superhero-looking costume. It’s interesting how even the adventuring and action lead back into the economy of the show. This isn’t the first anime to focus on economy stuff but it has been one of the more interesting ones. The best ones I can think of above this might be Spice and Wolf, and Maou but unfortunately, the latter doesn’t have a dub if you’re enjoying this then you might like those.
