English Dub Review: Reign of the Seven Spellblades “Duty”
Overview:
Oliver and Chela fight a duel deep in the labyrinth, against an opponent who will do anything to avoid defeat.
Our Take:
The thing this series has in common with Harry Potter is that some of these magical families are absolute pieces of shit. Albright’s family was so obsessed with winning that when their son lost a chess match to a girl not only did they torture their own son but they wiped out the girl’s family. Talk about overkill. You almost feel sorry for someone like that, I know Naonao sure does.
We also got the revelation that not only are Chela and Stacy actually half-siblings but Chela is a half-elf as well. I don’t know how big a deal that is in this universe but since she was hiding it I imagine it has some big implications that I am definitely looking forward to.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
