English Dub Review: Jujutsu Kaisen “Hidden Inventory 2”

Overview:

Gojo and Geto are assigned to the mission of escorting and erasing the young girl compatible with the Tengen – the Star Plasma Vessel. Amanai Riko is being targeted by the Curse User Group Q, and the religious cult the Star Religious Group.

Our Take:

I can’t think of too many shows where a supporting character feels like they should be the main character. Satoru Gojo is everything you want in a leading man, he’s handsome, funny, and can destroy anyone who comes to face him. Okay, that last part could make for a boring show if done in the wrong but hey, One Punch Man seems to make it work. Nothing against Itadori, or any of the new jujutsu sorcerers but Gojo is the man.

So far, the only negative thing I have to say about this series is that I have no idea what’s going on really. Riko is a compatible vessel for Tengen but I had to do some Google magic to remind myself who Tengen was. With Gojo leading the episodes, there are going to have be a lot of things that go wrong for the episode to be bad. If you were a fan of the first season and miss the old-school trio I understand but I think you are still going to be having a good time. Though I do find it interesting that the last two big releases for this series have been prequels.
