ENGLISH DUB REVIEW: I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too “Yuuya and Kaori”
Overview
Yuuya is invited to attend the discussion about how to deal with the mastermind behind the attacks. Meanwhile, he can’t help but worry about the mysterious assailant and whether his training will be enough to protect what he holds dear…
Our Take
Back at the royal palace, Yūya is asked to participate in Reigar’s trial after cracking down on him last episode. where Reigar reveals his past grievances against Lexia. Yūya intervenes, using a magic elixir to cure Reigar. Lexia pardons her brother, and Yūya is knighted and given Reigar’s estate as a reward. Despite this, Yūya remains preoccupied with the Vile girl and begins neglecting his friends as he frantically prepares for their next confrontation.
However, during a training run, the Vile girl, Yuti, ambushes Yūya. Kaori enters the Demon’s Den to witness their battle, and Usagi tries to reason with Yuti, reminding her of her late master’s principles. Yuti refuses to relent and unleashes her full power, only to be stopped and neutralized by an unexpected twist…
Overall, while the storyline throughout was cringe-inducing, It got progressively better towards the end even if I had a few questionable decisions here and there. This was an unusual season finale, and If the epilogue didn’t happen during the end credits, I wouldn’t have known it was a season finale at all. Aside from how rushed the Prince’s Trial was and how everything was so easily “forgiven”, the twist regarding what helped Yūya defeat Yuti all felt like a rushed “Deus Ex Machina” of sorts. If Season 2 does become a thing, I’d be willing to see what direction it goes next.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
