English Dub Review: Am I Actually the Strongest? “Char Hates Me”
Overview:
The border province Haruto calls home has been plagued by thieves. Haruto tries to investigate secretly, only to end up arousing suspicion from his sister Charlotte. But all of that will change when the thieves go after Charlotte herself!
Our Take:
So we have the overpowered protagonist, and after this episode, it looks like we also have the brocon little sister that due to reincarnation just so happens not to TECHNICALLY be incest. Oh, and he’s adopted can’t forget that. The tropes are just lining up for this one and we are only two episodes in! Not to say that it’s a bad thing or that this was a bad episode but I’ve gotten pretty good at figuring this anime stuff out.
I have to say that nicknaming a girl named Charlotte, Char is a pretty good one, especially if she’s a fan of Gundam. My hope was that Haruto would think that Char didn’t like him this whole time but actually, she loved and respected him too much or something instead once she finds out he’s a “Hero of Justice” she likes him, that’s alright I guess.
So far I would say this is fun but we’ll need to see how the characters develop. Since it’s only two episodes I understand we are going to be meeting these characters for a little while so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
