English Dub Review: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? “Luvia | Starry Flower”
Overview:
After five years of grief, guilt and pain, Ryu finally faces a new path—a new justice. The Juggernaut should beware.
Our Take:
After twenty one episodes, Bell and Ryu are finally rescued. The only thing that disappointed me was that we didn’t see how they got back from the lower floors. As soon as Bell’s group saves them they’re immediately back on the surface. I suppose that happens in Dungeons & Dragons sometimes too. But on the other hand, those two have suffered a lot this season so them getting the rest they deserve is well earned.
I’m hesitantly looking forward to writing the season review for this because it was such an odd season for me. It also depends on what you watch this series for. I got into it with the promise of romance, some slice of life, and the occasional hyped action bit. This whole season was action with the expedition taking up the entirety of the season. If you watch for the action your opinions are probably going to be different than mine. But I did enjoy this season, Bell and Ryu got some significant character growth. Though I did kind of hope that Ryu would react a little different when she finds out she has feelings for Bell.
So far there hasn’t been an announcement of a season five. As popular as this one is and with the minimal amount of research I’ve done I think it’s more of a source material problem than popularity. This arc pushed towards most of the light novels that are currently out but it could definitely happen by sometime next year. I would think that if a series gets three or more seasons then the studio is committed to the adaption but I could be wrong.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
