There’s A Completed Alien Vs Predator Animated Series Sitting On Disney’s Desk That Won’t Be Released

Is there a more stubborn company in all show business than Disney? How much shit must be on those desks that us people will just NEVER see because of some arbitrary nonsense. Recall this company has a completed series called Murder Police that we’ll never see, they have a completed Star Wars: Detours that we’ll never see, and they own the rights to an Alien vs Predator anime film for Netflix that we will also never see.

Welp, add THIS one to the pile of killer-sounding projects that we’ll never see. In a new podcast interview that was posted late last month with former FOX exec Josh Izzo and later transcribed by AVP Galaxy, we learned that there are in fact ten episodes of a completed Alien vs Predator anime series that was supposed to premiere in 2016. Eric Calderon and Dave Baker wrote the series that was supposed to be a direct-to-DVD release, but then the merger happened, and we, the consumers, lost out. Says Izzo,

There is sitting at Disney now, at 20th [Studios], 10 episodes of a fully completed Alien vs. Predator anime series that I produced. It’s done. It’s in the can. It’s mixed, it’s finished.

I think the WGA strike should do something about this. If something is completed, it has to be shown…period…end of story. Stop this bullshit of promising fans exciting projects just to sandbag it and put it in a pile somewhere never to be seen.
