English Dub Review: Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World “Labyrinth Dragnet”
Overview:
The Survivors continue their search for the dreaded Stepping Man.
Our Take:
So previously the Survivors managed to rescue a girl and seemingly figure out the identity of the Stepping Man. When the girl’s mom came to get her we find out she was part of a pretty famous adventuring group. The girl was under the impression that Zem would teach her magic but because of his past he didn’t really want to be around a young girl. Who could blame him? But it was a bit odd to me how the mother didn’t really even react to any of the news. If I found out my daughter was around someone accused of sex crimes I wouldn’t really be too keen to help them.
Other than that, it was cool getting to see Nick have to train and see how he learned things when he was younger. Out of all the stories the Survivors have given I think his might be the one that made me the saddest. He basically had his family tell him they didn’t want anything to do with him so seeing his past when he was just a kid and happy to be learning was bittersweet.
Who we thought was the Stepping Man isn’t but now they enlisted their help to catch the real one. I’m actually really enjoying this arc so far. I think this might be what closes out the season but I suppose we’ll see.
