English Dub Review: Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro “Hachioji-senpai Taught Me A Lot”
Overview:
It’s the start of a new school year. Nagatoro plans to join the judo club and the art club gets a new member.
Our Take:
Now we know what Senpai’s real name is, it’s Naoto Hachioji. If he was called that sooner then I really didn’t catch it. Something tells me we won’t hear him called by his name too much from here on though. But with the new arrival to the art club, it is possible that we might hear his name a little more.
Hana Sunomiya is the new art club member and she is the cousin of the previous art club president. I think she’s voiced by Xanthe Huynh but I’m sure we’ll get an official announcement. Yes, I called her a “challenger” but she is actually quite supportive of Senpai and Nagatoro.
Saying that is odd because that isn’t usually how these rom-coms go. We almost always have many rivals and whatnot but it seems that everyone just wants to see these two happy. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m actually starting to become a fan of this anime now. I still don’t feel I can recommend this because if I wasn’t getting paid to watch and review this anime I would have given up a long time ago.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
