Review: Rick and Morty: Crisis on C-137 #3

Overview

The Smith Family unites with special powers thanks to Rick which means it’s war against Snowball and Kiara who are in DC going nuts on famous landmarks. However, Rick and Morty are soon transported to outer space where they come face to face with a team of assholes hell bent on revenge.

Our Take

I don’t know if there’s been a writer for the Rick and Morty comics since Pamela Ribon who has written Rick’s dialogue so close to the show as Stephanie Phillips. She is just KILLING with this series and this issue, while mostly build-up to what looks to be a stellar finale, still had all sorts of crazy hijinks go down to get us really excited.

Ryan Lee’s illustrations also need a shout out here because the action sequences are fucking out-of-control and the gross ass character designs of the show’s best known villains is just a true chef’s kiss.

The third issue of Oni’s C-137 mini-series is a must buy for Rick and Morty fans looking to satiate their desires until the show returns with new episodes on Adult Swim.
