Report: “The Simpsons” Is Disney+’s Most Watched Series ; More Animated Content Incoming

It’s no surprise that in a recent report from The Wrap that The Simpsons would get over 50 times more streams than the next series because adult animation is by far the biggest drivers of subscribers internationally, that’s why the smart streamers continue to invest and whether you are in America and subscribe to Disney+/Hulu or internationally Disney Star / Disney+, you’ve got a lot to look forward to in the coming months.

For starters, Little Demon is set to stream on Disney+ starting January 18th in international territories. In FX’s Little Demon, an animated comedy featuring the voices of Danny DeVito and Aubrey Plaza, it has been 13 years since being impregnated by Satan, and a reluctant mother, Laura, and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware. However, the two are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul. Read our review of the entire season here.

Next, we told you guys the other day that Disney+ is celebrating Black History Month with the premieres of TWO black-produced animated comedies including the second season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder which will feature Maury Povich in a guest-starring role. You can read more about that here with our previews of the two aforementioned series.

Last but not least, a week after their excellent adult animated comedy at Hulu premiered, Koala Man’Dan Hernandez & Benji Samit have inked new overall deals at 20th Television Animation which means we can expect more animated projects from the duo to potentially appear on Hulu/Disney+. Read our interview with the duo here.

I think it’s safe to say, Disney+ knows where its bread is buttered, and is making sure new adult animation content is continuing to come down the pipelines.
