English Dub Review: Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro “It’s You and Me, Senpai~”;”You’re Inviting Me, Senpai?!”
Overview:
Nagatoro is still torturing Senpai, laughing at his choice of manga and at how he talks to girls and trying to get a reaction out of him by having him put her stockings on her.
The club president gives Senpai tickets to the zoo, insisting that he takes Nagatoro with him to practice life drawing together.
Our Take:
I’m so glad that this got another season when other far more deserving anime continue to sit at only one season. Sorry to start off so sarcastic but this anime just isn’t good and the parts that are good are so few and far between. There were parts in the second episode that was really nice when it just felt like a normal rom-com. If it just stuck to that then I would be singing a whole different tune. But no we got to stick to the silly bullying stuff.
The best thing I can say about this anime is that the facial animations for Nagatoro are pretty great. When she goes into bully mode especially, it’s one of the few things about the bullying I like. Now that’s not to say that a show like this can’t be enjoyable. Teasing Master Takagi-san is similar to that as well but with some big differences. One, most of the pranks Takagi pulls are harmless and funny whereas Nagatoro is sometimes downright mean to Senpai. Two, they are in middle school so some immature behavior is expected. Not that high school is a huge difference but still.
If you were waiting for this one good for you. You’re getting more of the same that you liked if that’s the case. However, if you are like me and hated the first season of this show then unfortunately it seems like we’re in for more of the same.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
