English Dub Review: Cardfight!! Vanguard Will+dress “Dress x Dress”

Overview:

Yu-yu won’t rest until Raika acknowledges Team Blackout. But he’ll need to defeat his opponent first in the climatic tournament finale!

Our Take:

Look… I’m glad this is over and you should be too. It’s not good, it’s not the absolute shittiest anime I have ever watched but… it’s close. There was never once I felt like “Oh shit Cardfight!! Vanguard Will + dress is on I can’t wait!”. It had some ups and downs, but I will go more in-depth with my season review.

As for this episode, it was pretty much by-the-numbers shonen stuff here. The character you probably thought would win does. Raika did his best to impersonate a mustache-twirling villain but it just came off as lame what with this being just a card game and all. There isn’t much else to say, the visuals were terrible, and the voice acting is okay at best and laughable at worst. You can avoid this one for sure.
