Britbox Cancels Spitting Image Reboot Says Voice Star
Prolific voice star, Matt Forde, has confirmed that ITV has elected not to move forward with additional seasons of the fabulous Spitting Image reboot which is probably the reason why the producers are moving forward with the West End stage production which is slated to kick off February 1st and go through March 11th.
This might be less having to do with the quality of the series (the TV specials had ratings that went through the roof as were the streaming numbers) and more having to do with the fact that Britbox is going away in favor of ITVX.
The Daily Mail reports that perhaps viewers were critical of the reboot under the guide ship of Forde, though, most of the Tweets that were being reported from were unverified users and could just as easily be conservative bots generated from the same Russian-borne regions in which were usually the target of the satirical sketches.
We’re more on the side of Forde in that if the show got a proper TV order coupled with a States-base support that was other than YouTube, the show could’ve grasped an even larger audience than the reported 3 million viewers it generated.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
