English Dub Review: Shinobi no Ittoki “Quirks of Fate”

Overview:

Ittoki arrives at the Ninja Academy. Meeting the kind and chipper Kirei and the beautiful and graceful Ryoko gives Ittoki hope about life at the Academy, but the Koga students’ influence threatens to make life miserable.

Our Take:

Well I think we might be in harem territory folks, Ittoki’s first two new friends are beautiful girls and I would imagine they are both into him. Otherwise this just wouldn’t hit your typical anime tropes right? It’s not all bad as Ittoki is a good dude but I hope we get some cool male characters aside from the protagonist, sure we have his uncle but something tells me he won’t be showing up in a high school.

One thing we learn is that apparently Ittoki’s family wronged the Koga’s in the past somehow, but something tells me that whoever did this wrong was a traitor to the family because his family seems to wholesome to do what they’re accused of. But maybe that could be wrong but so far I would say this a good anime to watch. It has a main character that is refreshingly not overpowered and I think his growth will be realistic and earned. Three episodes in I am still excited to see where this goes but want to see Ittoki get a few successes under his belt.
