English Dub Season Review: Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure
Overview:
Rilakkuma wins tickets to Nakasugi Land theme park. With the theme park soon closing, he heads off with Korilakkuma, Kiiroitori, and Kaoru for a fun-filled adventure.
Our Take:
There isn’t a whole lot to say about this one. It was cute and I think more geared toward kids, which isn’t a bad thing by any means. If you have a kid and are looking to get them into anime this could be a great stepping stone. I’m not sure if you would count it as “anime” per se with it being stop motion and all but if they’re all under the umbrella of animation I don’t see why not. It was pretty nostalgic and reminded me of the stop-motion Christmas specials I would watch as a kid.
That aside it was a sweet story with some fun little side plots that I enjoyed. From a girl who’s lost her parents, Kaoru relates to a clown who’s in love with an idol, and that idol doesn’t want her identity revealed. The best thing I can say about this is that it was a fun, and cute show that gave me a little bit of childhood whimsy back. If you’ve watched the previous series you will like this one as well. If you want a cute thing to watch with your kid you definitely can’t go wrong with the adorable Rilakkuma.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
