Our Take

The stupidity Philip puts on with his act is beyond crazy. I guess he still isn’t aware of who he’s messing with. He cheated death once when he touched Albedo’s shoulder, he definitely won’t see another miracle happen again. The Holy Kingdom sure has a lot of problems, and Philips is the mastermind whose stupidity knows no bounds just because the kingdom has developed relations with Ainz’s territory just so they could make a quick buck by taking advantage of the opposing side’s resources.

This consequently and unfortunately triggers Albedo to recall back everyone to inform them of Phillip’s fuck up, which is very alarming. Thankfully Hilma got away scot-free, but that doesn’t mean that she is entirely free of being at Ainz’s command via Albedo. All this time, the Holy Kingdom has been following Ainz’s orders, but it’s because of Philip’s actions that put the entire kingdom in peril. There are only 2 ways: execute Baron Philip, or risk fighting Ainz and his kingdom…

Overall this was mostly an exposition/dialogue-heavy episode that potentially sets up future storylines moving forward. I loved the conversations in the throne room as well as the Interrogation scene between him and Hilma. I can’t even imagine what scenes like this would look like if Ainz would have to come up with everything by himself and didn’t have great insight and strategic knowledge of Demiurge and Albedo. And everyone saying Philip is too stupid to comprehend is possibly the understatement of the year.
