English Dub Review: Orient “Tactician Battle”

Overview:

Battle lines are drawn, with the Obsidian Brotherhood out to defend Yamata no Orochi and capture the Obsidian Goddess, while Musashi works with the Uesugi Band to slay the Kishin and rescue his friends.

Our Take:

This is the type of stuff I live for. I love battles like this where tacticians are constantly outwitting each other. Just when you think all hope is lost we come to find something else out. I much more enjoy the smart types of battles than just the all-out brawl types. I may not quite understand the power system in Orient yet but I think it’s cool and will start to make sense eventually. But I love how everyone is stronger when they work together.

The only thing I didn’t like about this episode is no Michiru, I mean her and Musashi’s dynamic is what has made this second cour for me. for being the main character, Musashi hasn’t gotten to do too much in the last couple of episodes but I think he will have a huge role in this battle. Don’t worry folks the battle is just getting started and I think it is going to be a big one.
