Fall 2022 is nearly upon us, and the adult animation scene has some new franchises in tow for the already busy season. Check out sneak previews and premiere dates below.

Pantheon explores the outer limits of what we and our technology are capable of creating and destroying, focusing on the “uploading” of human consciousness into the cloud. It explores the theme of technology through the lens of family, focusing on both the people whose brains have been digitally uploaded, and the loved ones they’ve left behind. Ultimately, Pantheon challenges our understanding of what it means to be human.

Rick and Morty is the Emmy® award-award-winning half-hour animated hit comedy series on Adult Swim that follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Rick Sanchez is living with his daughter Beth’s family and constantly bringing her, his son-in-law Jerry, granddaughter Summer, and grandson Morty into intergalactic escapades.

It’s season six and Rick and Morty are back! Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Jolyne Cujoh is framed for a crime and incarcerated in the maximum-security Green Dolphin Street Prison, also known as “The Aquarium.” Intent on getting her out, Jolyne’s father, Jotaro Kujo, comes to visit… but that is exactly what the mysterious Stand and mastermind Pale Snake planned for all along. Pale Snake wants what is within Jotaro’s memory: “a pathway to Heaven,” which was sought by DIO, who Jotaro defeated long ago. Pale Snake attacks Jotaro, removing both his Stand ability and memory in the form of discs, leaving him in a dormant state. In order to recover her father’s discs, Jolyne decides to remain in the prison. Along with her new companions Ermes Costello, F.F., Emporio Alnino, Weather Forecast and Narciso Anastasia, Jolyne fights against other Stand users who have infiltrated the prison so she can uncover who is behind Pale Snake and reclaim her father’s Stand ability and memory. A new and more intense chapter of the final battle that will put an end to the century-spanning, intertwining fate of the Joestar family and DIO begins!

Stan Smith leads the all-American family in this animated sitcom filled with wild and crazy extremes. Everyday life is taken to the limit as Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home-life. Driven by machismo and the American dream, he is often blind to how horribly he fails at his attempts. This father may not know best but he never stops trying! Starring Seth MacFarlane (Stan Smith, Roger), Wendy Schaal (Francine Smith), Rachael MacFarlane (Hayley Smith), Scott Grimes (Steve Smith), Dee Bradley Baker (Klaus).

The second season of beloved web series Bee and PuppyCat after a nearly five near break. The season picks back up the cheerful 22-year old Bee and intergalactic space warrior for a set of adventures.

CD PROJEKT RED, the company behind the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, is producing the series with Rafał Jaki (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher: Ronin) as Showrunner and Executive Producer, with Satoru Homma, Bartosz Sztybor and Saya Elder serving as producers. The team at CD PROJEKT RED has been working on this new series since 2018. Acclaimed Japan-based animation company, Studio Trigger, will serve as the animation studio on the series and bring the world of Cyberpunk to life with their signature, vibrant style. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will direct the series along with creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designer and animation director Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal), and the adapted screenplay by Yoshiki Usa (GRIDMAN UNIVERSE series, Promare) and Masahiko Otsuka (Star Wars: Visions ‘The Elder’). The original score will be composed by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series).
