English Dub Review: Lupin III Part VI “Last Bullet”
Overview
With Sherlock out of commission and Lupin unable to show his face, Jigen must intervene when Lily Watson is targeted by a bloodthirsty ghost from Jigen’s past…
Our Take
This episode was the introduction of a classmate by the name of Kenny who seemingly has a crush on Lily Watson and while it didn’t further flesh out Lupin’s connection to Watson’s Murder the same way the previous episode did, It remained entertaining as hell as this time around the plot is focused on Jigen having to go up against an old foe while his Revolver needs repairs of its own…
Also, that final gunfight honestly had me laughing after seeing the end result. Like, I think it would’ve been cool to see the explosion from the gun and see the barrel fly through the air instead of what we got. It makes me wish that they handled that scene a lot better, but despite how implausible it looked, it still left me entertained.
Overall, I usually like the Jigen-focused episodes and this one was surprisingly decent. I also had fun with the whole bait and switch twist near the end as it was something that I didn’t think they’d do, but it could’ve been done a lot smoother. I also liked the gunfight at the beginning between Jigen and that former CIA guy and the story behind his old magnum, but all of it had a proper payoff near the end.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
