English Dub Review: Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon “The Grim Butterfly of Despair”

Overview:

Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha must save Rion, who has linked her fate with the Grim Butterfly, but Osamu Kirin stands in their way. Kirin declares that he and Rion should reign over the world in order to bring about true peace.

Our Take:

There is so much going on that it’s kind of hard to follow. But everyone has their hands full with their own problems. Towa is facing down Osamu Kirin, Sesshomaru is fighting the actual Kirinmaru, and Setsuna and Moroha are trying to rescue Rion. Not to mention Hisui and his whole family attempting to bring down the Grim Butterfly. Just a whole lot but that means there is plenty of action to go around.

I hope Rion snaps out of her issues soon. She is kindhearted and sweet, nothing like the monster we are seeing right now. They say to be careful what you wish for and boy are they right. I wanted to see everyone coming together as a family but not like this. We are coming up on the end of this season and it feels like a climax that’s for sure. I hope everyone can pull through this one.
