English Dub Review: Attack on Titan “Traitor”

Overview:

The Azumabito’s flying boat is guarded by a port full of Jaegerists, but the Scouts are reluctant to kill their former friends. If they wish to avoid bloodshed, they can’t afford their plan to go wrong.

Our Take:

You know Connie is getting a lot of development. I really love how far these characters have come. I’ve watched Attack on Titan more times than I can count and it constantly astounds me how much growth each of the characters has. I know this is more about the anime than the manga but I am also very impressed that this was Hajime Isayama’s first serialized manga.

The action scenes are still good, albeit a little more clunky since Mappa took over but still top tier. The Titans look a little off but still badass. It was super awesome to see the Female Titan back in action after almost ten years. Seeing her do what she does best but now being able to root for it was an… odd feeling. When it comes to the voice work I feel like there is an abundance of career-defining roles here. Armin just wouldn’t be the same without Josh Grelle, and that’s the same for almost every character. I really don’t want this to ever end, but all good things must I suppose.
