English Dub Review: Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest “Invasion of The Capital”

Overview

Hajime arrives at the Divine Mountain to rescue Aiko but is immediately attacked by Noint. Meanwhile, a massive force of Demons and monsters suddenly appears just outside the capital city of Heiligh and immediately begins sieging the city…

Our Take

Nice to see Yue and Shea give the demons a good ass beating. Yue’s five dragons just rekt the entire army. While Shea’s bent on avenging Hajime. Those glowing red eyes of her meant serious business.

As far as I could tell, Yue was just scary with that bloodlust. Though it was nice seeing them fight without holding back. Awful CGI orcs and dragons aside, this also gave both Shea and Yue their moment to shine in fighting the “mini-bosses”. With Yue’s 5 dragon skill and Shea’s new trick involving a Ball & Chain easily being the highlight of the proceedings, Hajime decides to go up against Noint which it has been building up towards since the previous episode.

Overall, this was quite an intense episode. And given what Noint says to Hajime, it makes you wonder what her God Ehit’s reasons for choosing Hajime to go through such a death if all he wants is to go back to his own world. And with the way Noint told him how her Ehit wants him to die and that he should lament with despair to give her God entertainment was amusing to see given how much of a hard-ass Hajime is, I can’t wait to see their fight begin!
