Review: It’s Pony “I.T. Pony;Cow Power”

Overview

“Cow Power”
Annie and Pony adopt a cow to replace Dad’s truck, but when it doesn’t work out, it’s impossible to get rid of it…

“I.T. Pony”

Annie thinks Pony is a tech genius until his app creation puts the population in peril…

Our Take

For the first episode, the humor this time around is mostly built around Annie’s desire to ride in something environmentally friendly which leads to her getting a Cow which at first seems like a weird choice but progressively it leads to a series of misunderstandings and mishaps to the point that everything slowly comes together into something comedic yet cohesive.

As for the 2nd episode, much of the humor comes from the blind stupidity of people frequently glued to their smartphones with no sense of direction or common sense and worship technology as they use Apps for their everyday lives. It even leads to the return of a recurring villain almost ruining things, yet somehow Pony finds an unusual solution that fixes these problems in an unexpected way.

Overall, both episodes were passable. The first half wasn’t too heavy handed with it’s environmental message regarding cows and pollution fuel as it was mostly overshadowed by comic hijinks and fart jokes. While the other half made jokes about the weirdest scenarios I wouldn’t have thought about, but at least the Steve Jobs Turtleneck jokes gave me a light chuckle…
