English Dub Review: How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom “Strike While the Iron Is Hot”

Overview:

Royal Guard Captain Ludwin’s childhood friend, Genia, was a rare breed of mad scientist. Her inventions leave even Souma, who comes from a world of science and technology, in astonishment… In addition to being utterly dumbfounded.

Our Take:

Well, I suppose there are worse ways to get engaged. When the king tells you that your childhood crush is an important figure in the kingdom and he wants her married to someone he can trust you got to take advantage. It doesn’t help that she seems oblivious to what that means but hey everyone seems happy.

There seems to be some really interesting technology in this dungeon that the kingdom has. Ludwin’s friend Genia is in charge of it but it seems like really advanced. There is even a fan down there that is powered by some cursed ore. But with it having a title like that it might make the religious types in the kingdom a little hesitant to use it. Guess there is stuff like that everywhere.

As you can probably tell this episode was very much an info dump. We got a cool and wacky new character that is hopefully cool but we’ll see. I always love more romance so that gives it a little bump even if the romance is more of an arranged marriage.
