English Dub Review: The Faraway Paladin “Archer of Beast Woods”

The plot is opening up now!

Overview:

Will departs from the city of the dead and sets foot in the outside world. After walking in the woods for several days, the first being he meets is Menel, a half-elf hunter. Will is delighted to talk to someone his own age and continues to recall it even after they go their separate ways. That night, he receives a revelation from Gracefeel.

Our Take:

Now that Will has left the city of the dead I think it’s really going to open up now. One of the first people he met was a half-elf hunter named Menel. I like Menel so far and think that having some non-undead characters will be interesting and good for the story.

I haven’t got confirmation yet but Menel sounds like Griffin Puatu, if I find out for sure I will definitely update in future reviews. I’ve liked Griffin ever since I first heard him in Beastars, he does a really good job in that and I think that Menel will be an interesting character.

I was hoping that getting into more of the world would get the show going, now all we need is a waifu. Based on the opening though I don’t think that’s too far off. Can’t wait to see where this goes and how Will continues to grow.
