English Dub Review: The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat “Qualifications of Assassins”
Overview
Officially a family of renowned doctors and assassins behind the scenes, the house of Tuatha Dé is the right hand of the kingdom. Trusted to become his father’s heir, Lugh assists his father with his mission. However, there are those who are displeased by Lugh’s success…
Our Take
As we see within the proceedings, the Goddess seems to change her outfit accordingly to each candidate that she summons, although the samurai she called upon seems to be just as much of a dud as the one from the previous episode. As for Lugh, he sure is popular within his realm. The townsfolk are thriving under the Tuatha Dé leadership, and it shows the loyalty between ordinary people and assassins from behind, not to mention their own people like Tarte as well. The assassin tests continue between Cian and Lugh, though this particular test sure was a high-level one. Not just father and son, as well as some actual assassination lessons that mostly involve exterminating evil people without being seen.
The final test of infiltration in disguise under this Illig Balor of a well-known trading company to be a growing merchant for 2 years. Of course, within internal walls, as Lugh is now up as the next Head to take the mantle. But consequently, people like Ronah are displeased that someone of a caliber like Lugh is worthy of that title (and proves it right away). At the very least, I like that Lugh doesn’t waste the potential of the people he meets.
Overall, I’m really glad that it didn’t go for the usual Isekai tropes with loads of fanservice and hoping it’ll continue to stay this way. Each episode that passes gets more interesting and this one was no different. Another cool thing is that you can clearly see the evolution of the protagonist as a character. However, I’m still left wondering just how many heroes has this Goddess sent out a kill order for? It makes me wonder if the Goddess is perhaps up to something that we aren’t yet aware of or knows more than she’s telling those she zaps into this fantasy world. Hopefully, we’ll get our answer somewhere down the line…
