FOX Digging Up “Dirt Girls” For New Animated Comedy In Development
FOX is in development for a new animated comedy called Dirt Girls created by Victoria Vincent (We The People) and Bento Box Entertainment.
According to Variety who was the first to report the announcement, the series takes place in an alienated suburban neighborhood, where two unsupervised kid sisters, Lucy and Pia, find depraved ways to keep themselves entertained while dealing with the confusing, dark aspects of the encroaching adult world.
Our Take
FOX was expected to make an announcement by now about another pickup or two for an animated series that would officially join the network’s Animation Domination lineup, but nothing yet. Until then, Dan Harmon’s Krapopolis is coming early next year, part of a strategy for the network to continue focus on primetime adult animation which has always been a key facet of the FOX Network’s 30 plus year run.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
