English Dub Review: Back Arrow “When People Want Peace, What Does God Want?”

Granedger hosts a signing ceremony to become an independent nation. As the world’s powers gather on the ship, Arrow and Shu visit Rekka for some awkward diplomacy…



Our Take

Lots of events occur within this episode. From signing the peace treaty to the Lingalind by making everyone attended the Granedger United ceremony, to Shu messing around with revengeful Ren who clearly still has a lot of anger problems. She really has a hard time controlling her emotions. To the ex-prime minister Tae pulling up with his own dreadnought.

There’s also so much potential for that peace will come soon, yet we can’t forget that Rudolph is still being a scoundrel behind the scenes. We also got a lot of info dropped on us with a “prophecy” today too. I wonder what’s really beyond the wall. Lind faith is inviting people from edger while Tae’s attacking Rekka which is going to be a hell of a final stretch for this show.

Overall, this was a good exposition episode with some fun moments thrown in while giving us an info dump regarding the stakes that we the audience are given. It was nice to see Shu interacting with the rest of the Rekka characters once again, especially since Kai is no longer as narrow-minded as before. The whole negotiation portion was also interesting with how its proceedings could lead to another potentially promising storyline for the next episode, Especially after that twist ending leaving things open for what’s to come…
